In this class, Dr. Keislar talks about God, which he calls “the most difficult topic to understand”. He mentions two fundamental truths about God: the oneness of God and the personality of God.
The Source of everything must be one, single. This is widely accepted. Among extraterrestrials, there is usually little question that there is one Source of everything, although there are differences of opinion about the nature of that original Source.
The second truth is personality, consciousness, awareness. God is merciful, loving, aware (not only of everything, but of us individually). He explains that God, the Source of everything, must have personality. If God does not have personality, where does our personality come from? Everything we have, God must have. But God is an unlimited personality. God is everywhere, but is still a personality. God must be conscious, an aware and infinite individual. As we are aware of our immediate surroundings, of our body, similarly God is aware, but is aware of everything, everywhere.
In responding to a comment that God is All-hearing, All-seeing and All-knowing, Dr. Keislar affirms that we hear, see and know, but in very limited ways, while God hears, sees and knows everything.
